Come join our professional wrangler, Heather Conley and her crew for an unforgettable week at our Rhodes Grove Ranch. Due to the ever-increasing popularity of our horse camps we’ve added a new program called the Equestrian Experience camp. See details below. Our newly-named Wild Wind camps (formerly Xtreme Horse) now feature an all-female format and include even more challenging wilderness elements. Mustangs & Mavericks camps remain our most popular program and are an excellent choice for riders looking to add more skill to their abilities. Sign up quick – Space is limited!
Equestrian Experience camp is new program designed to create a heightened horsemanship experience for the seasoned rider. Campers will participate in the traditional schedule for our Quest Camp including Facing North services, games and cabins but will also have the added benefit of specially crafted horse activities. Drill Team activities will focus on performing dramatic moving patterns to music such as the wagon wheel. Individual Skill activities will focus on equitation as campers improve their riding abilities and gain greater control of their horse. Rodeo Game activities will include key hole, pole bending, barrels, egg & spoon race, scripture find and more. There will also be a 3 hour trail ride in the Michaux State Forest for a special day-away. Open for guy & gal campers in grades 9-12, each rider should have at least 25 hours of experience, a high level of confidence and control and plan to spend approximately 4 hours a day in the barn and corral. This exciting new camp is sure to fill up fast!

Mustangs & Mavericks camps are designed for the intermediate rider. Open for guy and gal campers there are two age appropriate weeks to choose from. Participants will enjoy all the activities of traditional camp such as games, worship, meals, and cabins while also experiencing the added benefit of caring for and riding an exclusive horse all week. Horses and tack are provided by the camp. A special highlight is the overnight, rustic, trail adventure (complete with pit toilets!) in the Michaux State Forest. Campers will be staying in the mountains under the stars, while enjoying fellowship with others in God’s beautiful creation. This is an awesome overnight adventure! (We recommend at least 10-15 hours of previous horse experience to attend these camps).

Wild Wind camps (formerly Xtreme Horse) are designed for advanced riders looking for the ultimate wilderness horsemanship experience. Limited to female campers only there are two age appropriate weeks to choose from. To attend these camps riders must have had previous Rhodes Grove Horse Camp (or equivalent overnight trip) experience and 25 hours of horse experience (participants will be asked to validate riding experience). Wild Wind 1 includes two overnights on the trail and Wild Wind 2 includes three overnights on the trail. We recommend that campers participate in Wild Wind 1 prior to Wild Wind 2. These rustic adventures will be extremely fun, but also extremely challenging. Riders will be taken to a new level in their equestrian skills by taking part in this wilderness camp!
